Thinking About Moving to Gaithersburg MD?Gaithersburg Maryland

Gaithersburg has many styles of living to choose from – planned communities, older subdivisions, luxury estates, newer colonials, and neighborhoods adjacent to retail and commercial centers.

Old Towne Gaithersburg, centered around the old train station, has newer condos and older homes in areas like Deer Park.  There are very popular planned communities with retail and living space combined into a walkable neighborhood known a Kentlands.  Adjacent to Kentlands is Lakelands, more residential with lovely walking paths, wooded areas and water features.  Quince Orchard Park is just across from the Kentlands and offers single family homes, townhomes and condos.

Lakeforest Mall is a popular destination in Gaithersburg, and various neighborhoods adjoin that area, including Woodland Hills, a community of townhomes.  The Rio at Washingtonian Center was developed around a lake and includes hotels, restaurants and shops plus the very desirable neighborhood of Washingtonian Center, which is in the Wootton High School cluster.  Further north is the Laytonsville section of Gaithersburg, with larger estate homes in Golf Estates and some Victorian style older homes.  Gaithersburg condo buildings  include Timberbrook,  which is just off of Muddy Branch Road and Willow Wood in the Flower Hill section of Gaithersburg.
